At Innovative Property Solutions, a trusted property management company in Jacksonville, NC, we strive to make your rental experience smooth and stress-free, including easy rent payment options. We understand that life can get busy, so we offer multiple secure and convenient ways to pay rent. Whether you prefer online payments, in-person check drop-offs, or mailing your payment, we’ve got you covered.
When is Rent Due?
Your rent is due on the 1st of each month. There is a 5-day grace period for rental payments, as outlined in the lease agreement.
To avoid any stress or delays, we always recommend making your payment early and confirming it’s been processed successfully.
Payment Options
We offer several ways to pay so you can choose what’s easiest and most comfortable for you.
1. Pay Online (Resident Portal)
Most residents prefer this option because it’s fast, flexible, and can be done from anywhere. Once you're logged into the portal, you can choose to pay by:
- Bank Transfer (ACH/eCheck): $2.49 processing fee
- Credit Card: 2.99% processing fee
- Debit Card: $9.99 processing fee
You can also set up Auto-Pay, which automatically pays your rent each month with no reminders needed. Just be sure to keep your account funded to avoid declined payments or additional fees.

2. Pay in Person
If you’d rather stop by, you can bring your rent payment to our office during business hours. We accept:
- Personal Checks
- Money Orders
- Cashier’s Checks
Please note, IPS does NOT accept cash, no exceptions.
3. Use Our Dropbox
Need to pay outside of office hours? No problem. Our dropbox is located on the right-hand side of our building. Payments left in the dropbox after hours will be collected and processed on the next business day.
4. Mail Your Payment
You can also mail your rent. Just make sure to allow enough time for delivery so it arrives before the 6th to avoid late fees.

Helpful Tips for a Smooth Payment
To ensure your payment is processed correctly:
- Make checks or money orders payable to Innovative Property Solutions
- Include your property address on the memo line
- Write clearly and double-check your amounts
- Be sure to sign the front of your check (do NOT endorse the back)
If a check is incomplete or filled out incorrectly, it will need to be resubmitted before the grace period ends to avoid a late fee.
Payment Confirmation and Receipts
After you submit a payment through the Resident Portal, you’ll receive an email confirmation for your records. You can also log into your portal anytime to view your payment history and check your current balance.
If you choose to pay in person at the office, we’ll provide a receipt at the time of payment to help you keep track of your records.
Returned or Failed Payments
If a payment is declined or returned due to insufficient funds or incorrect information, please note that a returned payment fee may apply according to the lease agreement. AppFolio and our office will notify you so you can resubmit your rent payment using certified funds (money order or cashier's check) to avoid further delays or additional fees.
What If Rent is Late?
If rent hasn’t been received by the 6th:
- A late fee will be added, as outlined in your lease
- We can only accept certified funds (cashier’s checks or money orders) for that month’s rent
- If rent remains unpaid, further steps may be taken under North Carolina law
